What is involved?

The treatment generally involves three appointments with Dr Moffet to get that beautiful flawless smile. Then to ensure your veneers stay looking fabulous we will see you every 6 months for a hygiene appointment to have your teeth professionally cleaned and examined.

At your first visit with Dr Moffet you will sit down with you and discuss the goals that you are looking to achieve. Dr Moffet will then examine your teeth and mouth to make sure that dental veneers are the appropriate solution for you. This is also the time to ask plenty of questions regarding the procedure itself and what to expect. This appointment is a very important part where Dr Moffet will find out what you would like.

At your next visit, Dr Moffet will remove a very thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth to make room for your veneers. There will be minimal discomfort during this procedure as you sit back and relax. An impression of your teeth is then taken and the colour and shape of the final veneers are selected. You will have temporary veneers attached while a model of your teeth is sent to our specialised dental veneer technician, who makes the veneers to fit your teeth exactly.

At the following visit the veneers are placed onto your teeth and polished. We know you will walk out of our surgery with a fabulous smile that other people will notice. 

A follow up appointment will then be made so Dr Moffet can check how your new teeth and gums are looking.

What can you expect from your veneers?

Your new veneers will be very strong and quite resistent to chipping and staining. It is very important to see us twice a year for professional cleaning and an examination, to ensure your veneers last a very long time.
